The backyard at our Club
Our club’s backyard has seen at least 100 pig roasts along with many other events since we purchased our clubhouse in 1973. In the early years we had an elevated stage for student, dance and music performances, as well as presentations and memorial services. More recently, big tents, camaraderie and good food have taken center stage. Clearly, the club’s backyard is as important as ever.
Some time back we received a donation of patio blocks from one of our members. So far, nothing has been done with them largely because of the very considerable physical effort that would take. So, at this point we are kindly asking for donations to have the work done professionally. It will be a great way to spruce things up!
Those wishing to donate can mail a check to the club indicating as much. Donations will be publicly recognized and you can choose to memorialize a loved one if you like. More details will be forthcoming. Please send your checks made out to Danube Swabian Association to 127 Route 156 Yardville, NJ 08620. Please indicate that the money is intended for the patio. Our Driveway....Club members stepping up in a big way!
Thank you to Ron Kernast! We are grateful for his financial support for the recent driveway renewal. Thank you also to Bob Walter who helped manage both the driveway and the tunnel work

Your support and contributions will enable us to give high school students, that participate in the German language, a scholarship to use for a college education.

Credit Card Update...
Please note the Trenton Donauschwaben is no longer accepting credit cards for payment.
During COVID and the Trenton Treffen in ’22 we offered members and friends the opportunity to use their credit cards instead of cash or checks. It was a much-appreciated convenience which we continued making available ever since. Unfortunately, not only did that come at an ever-increasing cost, but we are also now faced with purchasing a costly new card reader too.
Rest assured we are looking into more affordable alternatives. In the meantime, please use cash or personal checks for all club transactions.
